Collection: Banned in Tibet

Each of these items tells a story about everyday life in Tibet.

When you wave a flag or give a t-shirt as a gift, you can help our work to inform others about the true situation under China's occupation.

Owning, waving or flying the Tibetan national flag can result in imprisonment and torture. Yet it remains a symbol of protest and unity for Tibetans.

Calls for freedom have been shouted out or written by many Tibetan protesters.

Tibetans have been imprisoned for possessing Dalai Lama images or teachings.

Writers, musicians, filmmakers and teachers have all been jailed in Tibet; Tibetan communication is one of the things China fears most.
