Kopan Monastery

Kopan Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on the outskirts Kathmandu, Nepal. It is home to almost 400 Tibetan Buddhist monks. Every purchase from the monastery shop helps to pay for the living expenses, education and medical care of the monks. The monastery also offers meditation retreats for outside visitors, and provides financial and institutional support to a number of local initiatives including impoverished monastic communities, local healthcare initiatives and an animal sanctuary.

Free Tibet has partnered with the monastery to bring you some of their beautiful hand-carved and hand-painted prayer wheels. Every purchase of a prayer wheel not only helps to support Free Tibet, but also helps fund the Kopan Monastery.
